We have developed Unreal Stage in order to make workflow completed in real-time as viable as possible.
■ Usage of Motion Capture at the Filming Location
All nodes and devices that are connected to Motion Builder are enable to be streamed into Unreal Engine. We can check the characters, background, effects, and textures reflected in the video which are close to the final cut. It allows us to complete CG movie production as quickly as possible, almost as though they were filming live.
■ Ability to be used on Desktop Computers by CG Designers
While going through the animaton editing process using Maya and Motion Builder as usual, we can also work on layout tasks and check their looks by using Unreal Engine connected in real-time. In addition to the animation streaming, it has various functions that improve efficiency in the workflow of multi-character models and full auto-import & auto-sequencer placement for multi-cameras. It allows us to edit animation while previewing the look of high-end characters including facial models in real-time on Maya.
