At Toei Zukun Laboratory, we provide 6 core services by utilising our new digital techniques in video production. We continue striving to expand our services in the fields from our resarch and development as well. Please witness what Toei Zukun Laboratory can offer.
Facial capture is a service which reflects actor’s facial expressions into a CG character after filming.
With a super lightweight head-mounted camera which we built by Toei, we can film the actor without much burden. Please utilize our service to improve quality and workflow for a wide variety of mediums, from creating photorealistic person models to cel shading animation.
Virtual camera is a service which enables filming within the CG virtual area while holding a camera and moving around like a real cameraman. This brings out the real perception of how a camera works and a realistic presence including shaky-cam. Even the nuanced parts that are generally difficult and time-consuming to deliver by hand-animation are able to be reflected on the spot while watching the CG camera video in real-time. By creating high-quality previsualization, we contribute effectively to the overall workflow of the project.
We have experiences in various types of video content including VFX for theatrical releases and AR/VR which are becoming more and more diversified. We have established Virtual Production Workflow, and we are actively moving toward video productions for game engines. We utilize our digital technology for a wide variety of fields.
LiveZ Studio is Toei Zukun Laboratory’s original virtual studio system. It enables easy composition of live action and CG background without using markers.
We launched this service in September, 2018. If you are interested, please contact us for a demonstration.
Unreal Stage is a real-time workflow proposed by Toei Zukun Laboratory.
It is a newly developed plug-in which connects Maya, Motion Builder and the game engine, “Unreal Engine.” It is not only a regular plug-in with Live Link function, but also has various useful functions which were refined specifically for directors and animators.
